Beauty and food highlights from my 4 day trip to Bali.....
We arrived on a Thursday at 12noon and went straight to Sisterfields for some lunch and a cocktail. I had the yummiest salad ever! It consisted of haloumi and fetta with cherry tomatos, zucchini and lots more. Ashlea had a fab espresso martini with a salted caramel twist.
After lunch we checked into our villa and boy were we happy with the accommodation at Bvilla and Spa. Our own pool in our room and luxurious surroundings, including marble ensuite with rainfall shower, open air kitchen and living area and massive king size bed looking out onto the pool area.
We chilled out by the pool with some music and a local beer to kick off the festivities then we drank our duty free pink Veuve champagne while doing our makeup ready to head out to dinner. Dinner was at Bambu and wow was this place somewhere I would definitely recommend a visit to. The food was simply fantastic and the atmosphere was magical. Yum!
Friday we had breakfast prepared by our butler in our villa then we relaxed by the pool, got our nails done, had massages at Bodyworks (my fave) and cracked open more champagne before attempting to head to Canggu to visit The Lawn but the traffic was hectic so we chose to stay in Seminyak and go to Saigon Street for dinner. Well the caramelised Pork Belly was to die for (highly recommend) the Pok Pok Chicken was delicious and my Toffee Apple Caprioska was so good I had to have another. We ended the night at Motel Mexicola (an old fav) with some cocktails and crowd watching.
Saturday was the big wedding day so we took it easy and relaxed most of the day.
I went and had an oxygen facial at Esthetic Day Spa and got my hair washed and blow dried so I could style it easier afterwards. I then took my time to create my look for the wedding using the following products….
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Gabrielle Chanel Twist and Spray Eau De Parfum
Dior Backstage makeup brushes in travel size
Bastiste Hold Me Hairspray
Two Faced Melted Longwear Lipstick in Chihuahua
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige
Tarte Tarteist Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette
Nars Orgasm and Laguna Blush Duo
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Barcelona
Covergirl Exact Eyelights Mascara for brown eyes
Maybelline Eyeliner in black
Collagen and honey plumping lip mask
My hair was put up as it was very humid in Bali and curls would not stay in.
Ashlea helped me put my hair up in a pull through braid that was inspired by Blake Lively and her gorgeous long locks.
My Style - dress was a full length sparkly sequin number by Nookie, my shoes were Mimco. My jewellery consisted of my custom made wedding band set by Diamonds by Design, White Gold Oyster Perpetual Datejust Watch by Rolex and light pink drop earrings by Pandora. My clutch was Louis Vuitton Damier.
Bridal Style - my best friend, the bride, looked glowy and amazing in her Collezione couture dress with custom leg split, shoes by Tony Bianco and new diamond ring by Vera Wang.
Her hair was up in a messy ponytail and her skin looked dewy and beautiful using foundation by Urban Decay. Dark smokey eyes and a red lip by Kylie Lip Kit completed her look.
The ceremony was simple but so heartfelt and we all had a tear in our eyes over the love my friends have for each other. After the formalities we were escorted to the deck for some champagne and appetisers. We then had dinner in the lovely restaurant. After the eating came the dancing!!!
We really did dance the night away and it was so much fun, Thanks to Club Med in Nusa Dua for hosting us! When we got back to our villa at 4am I washed the whole night off my face with my favourite lazy girl product Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water on cotton pads and I massaged a Sukin organic argan oil into my skin before collapsing in bed exhausted.
Sunday was recovery by the pool and fly home day. Ashlea and I both had Loreal Creamebath Hair treatments with shoulder massage included at Bodyworks then some lunch at Sisterfields again as it’s just that good.
We then headed to the airport for our flight home to chilly Perth.
We were sad to be leaving Bali but happy to come home to our loved ones.
Do you have any recommendations for next time I head to Bali? Let me know…
